One of our very own, Matt Benchner, is running for Supervisor in Newtown Township and he needs our help! On the weekends of September 26-27th and October 3-4th, his campaign is looking to gather a team of young voters to assist him with door knocking efforts in Newtown. The semi-annual Bucks County Community College Voter Registration Drive will be taking place on September 30th and October 1st from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  We currently have enough volunteers to cover the 10-2 shift both days, but we still need volunteers to cover the 5-7 shift both days.  If you can help us out on either of those days at either campus, Newtown or Perkasie, please contact the voter registration drive coordinator Kevin Mckay at kmckay@comcast.net. Our next meeting will be this Thursday September 24th.  It will be at Bucks County GOP HQ at 7 pm.  We will be discussing our Fall schedule with campaigns and looking ahead to 2010 which will be a very important year for our nation.

The Bucks County Republican Party will be having a booth at Warrington Day on Saturday, September 12th. We would like to have YR’s “work” the booth with the county, and help spread the word about our organization. Warrington Day will be held at the  Valley Square Shopping Center from 12-5 PM. On Saturday, July 81th, the Pennsbury School Board candidates are having a BBQ style fund-raiser featuring U.S. Senate Candidate Pat Toomey. The fund-raiser will be held a Shady Brook Farms. Our YR Summer Barbecue will be takin place on Saturday July 11th.  The barbecue will take place at Warwick Community Park from 3-6 pm.  Everyone is asked to bring something for the barbecue.  Please let us know if you plan on attending so that we can get a proper count for Hot Dogs, Burgers, and alternative selections (if desired).
